Smooth effort reaches up catching sounds
Composing wind, in cool crisp skies
Forgotten tours and overviews
In Sunset Crater which lies on the eastern edge
Trees take root

There was no mail today, in the new world
Light snow melts forming small currents
Moving activity, creating moisture
In soft wheat fields, of gold ribbon lake paintings

The road drinks occasionally
Drive through windows offer campaigns
From miles of scrub oaks & graffiti terrain
Using the best parts of the day
Cresting, climbing towards heaven
Fertilizing the San Juan Basin
With round green rolling rocks
Beyond a great sea, driven by sediments,
From premature epochs
Filling it to a depth of natural reservoirs

There unpretentious source continues, not
Waiting for time to catch up, but slowly,
Reassuringly, reaching high points
Between layers & layers of troughs

Like unnoticed consensual rings which
Mutually elevate all remains, into enshrined monuments
Clean, fresh smell of air
Offering up a euphoric parallel to sexual intimacy
Without touch, but a horrific joy inside
Which smiles, like a fiery furnace, knowing at that moment
All things…feeling great purpose, greater translations

Bringing rain to those areas where drought
Once roamed, elaborating succulent statements
Nature, so mitigates its natural travel
With a little humor, drama, exhilaration & possibility
Along with, much needed rain
Never-the-less, incorporating an engaging briefing

Known as, first thought, perhaps each individual’s Genesis
Leaving the humidity of holiday sheets, interpreted by each
In our music, our characters, yes, even our visions
Together, the text of nature confirms celestial birth
That first instant, born from ancient basins

We marry what we own
We own, what we believe
To be, it is our view, our complete theory
Open lusting after interpretations
Battling silly fears, while walking the unknown
If there are no words, new words accord
Being the son’s of a natural relation, with the world, presenting themselves

No, there is no mail today, it is a Holiday
For the son’s of time, left behind divine records
There within Nature makes her statements
Like a corporeal immortality with one true passion
For us to interrupt, in our very own way and time

The entity which fits our purpose, our song
We are specific creations of this Holiday
A pristine state of personal and unique destination
Accounting for that bizarre prowess of offspring

Proposing next to impossible assumptions, unseen
Where the flood of nature, goes unobtrusive
In it’s sight translating to ours
Our own personal human resurrection
In each millisecond of our life

LeeJ
Your words trancend like a babbling brook.
And to drink is to take a look. Good morning

Lee, this is nature/philosophy at its best, flowing together so beautifully and eloquently.

You're a deep woman LeeJ - would like to have had you in on some of the conversations I've had, especially those laidback ones of years ago sitting on the steps of the seawall along Lake Pontchartrain in New Orleans at one or two in the morning under starry skies, listening to wavelets slap along the steps, where we delved deeply into all things, natural or not. Especially some of those transcendental musing we had.

walk easy . . .
