Let nobody say we cannot all fly
or bend to the earth like foragers.
That’s what it takes, what life demands,
and only the wise know the “wherefores”
and “whys”.

Fly and breathe in this sensuous air,
feel it move and glide within emptiness,
and go with the flow of pure energy,
as it weaves and entwines both body and soul.

Your body, my body, the magnets of need,
draw and attract each other likewise
seeking redemption, validation perhaps,
for the denial of love and its happiness.

Bend to earth the betrayal of love
and dig for the reason sex doesn’t appease
the rising and constant search for relief
in arms of the familiar but not unique.

And as we walk so many a mile
and come to the point of no longer a child
soul’s need is to breathe true sensuous air
as its life giving force in the realm of beyond.

Stay with me here, don’t fall behind,
and wander forever the wilderness plains
shrouded behind black robes of control
destined to cause the earth to tremble.

But who isn’t stubborn, who doesn’t rebel,
who doesn’t say it won’t happen again,
and we draw the threads in, knot them in bed,
and retain unto ourselves our own love energy.

When you’re no longer a child,
it’s time to decide … to fly!

Helen

As you seem to do many times, you strike a familiar cord in me

Can curled body find relief
or just one song like I believe
from the front row of memories room
sing me sweet then into tune
I am harmony unglued and left to scatter
seeking wings to fly is what’s the matter

Thank you Sunshine and Martie for the read.
And Martie that is so very beautifully written and gets straight to the very heart of the matter.  I'm in awe.

Oh, my, honeybunch.... you've delivered a treat for me to hear.  There is so much more than meets the eye with this one and what meets the eye is most pleasing!     ...jo

jo & dixie - thanks you so much for reading.  There's always, always, more than meets the eye but sadly not all can see.
