Old chest, your handle’s missing
Where did it go?
Is it locked away, or
did in Anger explode?

     Or

Was the chest absorbing
the skips of a beat,
When one came near
Had it no alternative but retreat?

In any case, what good
can come of a chest
with no handles
to be opened by none?

Intriguing write that got me to wondering and a pondering.

Hmm, let me see. Well, perhaps if someone were to take the time to make a new handle for the chest, the chest might feel that love and grow another handle of its own ~ and a chest full of love, truly is a treasure!

EA

Interesting...perhaps the chest is waiting for someone to view, that even without handles, the chest retains it's value.

SMiles and hugs...good one!

Ah, I love how your mind works and the interesting ideas it poses.  Much enjoyed.

Perhaps magic words are needed?
Hugs~

Something tugs at me, I've no doubt of that.
Something from the sea, whichever one I'm near.
When I stray too far from beachland, it calls me back

Susan,
You're much too kind and modest.  It is I who should say that of your work.
