If We Had the Time

If we had the time
  days would not be spent
Thoughts would not be fleeting
  gazing would be considered nourishment

Daydreaming
would be food for the future
If we had the time
  time would not be spent

There would be no endings
  just continuations
Love would be nurtured
  it would not wither

And understanding would flouish
  from patience
If we had the time..

Yes, time is so very precious and we should make the most of every moment and not take things for granted.  Thank you for your thought provoking words.

Take care.......Sue

Well put my friend...wish we "had the time"...then again, maybe we should all make the time, huh?

Ah, but time is a perception, we can change its essence by living in the moment, to nourish that love, to savor the sunset, to breath in the scent of a child's freshly washed hair -- one of my favorite smells.  Yes, we have the time, we've only to take it.  Enjoyed this read very much.

Jwesly, as I was writing this I was thinking that. You pose another provoking question, why do we not take the time?

SG

I enjoyed the response to this question it has opened up some good questions and has got me thinking.

Susan, yes as I responded to jwesley. I am questioning "why don't we take the time". You are so right, I remind myself to smell the roses.

Oh yes. *S* Time is flexible... stretching endlessly in front of us when we're waiting for something/someone special... coiled almost into non-existence when we wish we could make it stand still and leave us in this moment forever. *S*

I like this very much!!!

Loving like that would most definitely be worth making the time...

A touching and reflective write. It is so good to be reading your words again.

~ Here's to making the time for love!

Big, warm hug,

Thank you Passing Shadows.

suthern, yes if we could only choose the moment!  Thank you.

Iliana, thank you.

EA, so good to hear from you.

I'm inspired by each of you and there are many days that I am grateful to be able to connect to pip. When I have the time, I sip my coffee and read the words and thoughts of those that share on this site. I don't feel so lonely then.
