Her grace was not a saving point for
She was as clumsy as the proverbial bull,
And when she walked with eye straight forward
the other tugged a backward  pull.

Her shoestring often fell untied
Her eyelets came unglued;
She fell upon the sidewalk, cried,
Slipped foot into stolen Cindrella shoe

Again she’d try to skip the walk
to innocent beat of nursery rhymes;
She tried to bucket her share of tears
And with Jack and Jill she’d climb.

The time was running near
(Though in only one Nike shoe)
One minute until midnight
And she knew what news she  knew.

She knew if she met her prince
in downward steps they’d trip;
From her pail of water
From tears they’d surely slip.

I can definitely sympathize with her... my coworkers used to call me Grace... because I had none. *S*

Another wonderful write... you're a welcome addition to our family! *S*

Miscelenea,
Your writing is as good as your heart! I knew it would be. Bravo. Keep up the good work. I am so glad that you are here!

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Oh, such sad, dry wit. So clever ~ yet so moving. I want to give her a great big loving hug and some flowers.

Larry C.,
   Your words are very kind. I'm fortunate to be here to read heartfelt works of people like yourself.

Lee J.,
   You're so very kind!  Tremendous? (Accidents do happen!)  Really, I appreciate your comment!  See, there's that grace again!

Earth Angel,
   "Oh, such sad, dry wit. So clever ~ yet so moving. I want to give her a great big loving hug and some flowers."

   I'll blame the wit on a friend.  I didn't realize I had any wit until that friend caused it to fly out of my pen. I'm eternally grateful.

   I'll gladly accept the flowers and hug and send one right back!

I know this is supposed to be humourous but this work makes me feel sorry for the poor clumsy people who trip over her feet.  Still that probably was not your intention when writing this poem.  I did like how you worked in the children stories of Cinderella and the like.  Your style definely is unique.
