tonight I lie
still without
churning within

the ceiling’s parallel plane
is lowered to a reach out
and touch distance

the walls loom inward
until movement
is just next to
restrictive

the back of my throat
is too near the front; my lungs
have economized

inside this permeation of dark
my heart’s beating favors
the proximity of my
eardrums

this world’s trespasses
have abbreviated
survival’s requisite distance

with the exception of
sleep and You

Those very things you need near are too often the ones most distant... This is magnificent, my friend... though I would cry that joy seems to have made a permanent move from the neighborhood. *S*

You do realize what I like best
about your tenacity?
Is that you don't let go.

That effort, alone,
is a lifeline, to all who care.

Thank you, JB, for showing me grace
with or without
compromise.

thank you ladies...your comments ease the transition of a very rough monday morning...sigh...
that you see grace...sigh...what can I say, I did not feel very graceful this weekend.....
suthern, it seems there are times that tears could not run dry, but when they do...and one's eyes cannot cry...well you know what I mean...its then that friends are most important *s*

I can say I understand on a certain level of my own

my heart is with you
