Listening to every heart

Silent Tries

I, ravaged, struck
and burned,
diseased, and forgotten

but still, a memory cannot forget
my face,
my beat,
my life.

I once gave all,
and you, in turn, walked away,
cutting down
all traces
of memory’s wake in tides

and we share a shore no more.

But there is forgiveness, even beyond rocks of resistance,

for I still stand, even
as faith shines through all obstacles,
and forgiveness excels

till the end of time.

If light lines the heart, even
rocks will reveal,

and I will rise, again.

One could read this in so many ways.  Beautifully written.  KJ

Wonderful Karilea. Is it just me, or does that old tree seem to really have a sad face in the first pic? Awesome. hugs, Chris
