Listening to every heart

Tombs Time [for Mysteria]

[Note, Mysteria believes I think poetry all the time.
Well, possibly.
More likely?  I’m just hearing voices.   ]

What I could not see
is not what I could not hear
for the whooshing hush of fire
filled my veins
in the cool damp of darkened tomb,

a spelunker’s delight,
a claustrophobe’s fear,
a poet’s vision via ear

dare I suggest myself a poet? Or just someone who listens?

I dare the dark
to show me the way.

Blindly, a click, flashing light illuminating
only momentarily,
biopically wondering

did I capture?  Or only reveal?

I see the mouth of horse in run,
but the two-faced dragon does not scare me
for the visage of the kind,
both ancient and new,
are there to brave its wrath

and I am safe,

in the care of my shadows.

I bear in mind, this,
my logic,
just as felt words are laid down,
creeping into bygone mists
of yesteryear’s tomorrows.

YES! Need I say more? Love it!

Remember, if you're not part of the future, you're history!

Touche' and well done too.  I do believe indeed you hear voices, because you dear lady, can whip a poem out faster than McDonalds can flip burgers!

Loved these lines Karilea:

a spelunker’s delight,
a claustrophobe’s fear,
a poet’s vision via ear

dare I suggest myself a poet? Or just someone who listens?

I dare the dark
to show me the way.

Beautiful photos and words.  From your holiday?

Lady..you just keep listening to those voices!!
Yes!!  Hugs and love ya~Nancy

Something tugs at me, I've no doubt of that.
Something from the sea, whichever one I'm near.
When I stray too far from beachland, it calls me back

Karilea

You hear, you see, you write from inside those things, way past the appearance, into the soul.  And I am so glad you do!

Being one of those claustrophobes, I almost skipped this one... I'm so glad I tamped the phobia temporarily... this is excellent! *S*
