Where ever you may be
Maybe you’ll think of me

Beneath the endless sea
Starves the child that’s me

Hopelessness makes me free
I’m blind, but plainly see

You and I now can’t be

Reminiscent of days gone by.  I was there in your shoes.  Loving that which was not meant for me; or so I thought.  What will be, will be.  Time is a healer of ALL things.  I also recognized, years later, when I met my wife, that I had never really loved before her.  Where I thought I had loved others long ago, I find it absent because I have never fealt love like the love I share with the mother of my son.  Perhaps this is your dilemma, your time, your trial awaiting an awakening.  Or, perhaps it is love, pre-destined, just not the right moment in time, yet.  A heart-wrenching poem so well crafted has touched me, tonight and taken me back.
