The Promise Of The Rainbow

I spoke a simple prayer today
It caught upon the wind,
And gathered in the wings of love
To find its way to Him.

I bowed my head on bended knee;
His voice, it said, "Arise,
Lift up your eyes and glimpse the hope
I've painted in the skies!"

I opened up my eyes to see
His answer loud and clear,
A multi-colored rainbows arc
Reflected in my tears.

Orange, red, and yellow too
Green, violet and blue
Prisimed in the breaking sun
All promised peace for you.

Amazing what one prayer can do
When sent on wings of love
And so I offer up my prayers
For you, our gentle dove.

Well doesn't God lead me.  There was a reason He had me come in here and much to my surprise.  Ruth your words are always touching, and have had no less affect this time.

This is truly beautiful! Thank you my dear for such precious words.  Heartfelt you know, just no expression to show how much.

Love you girl...thanks from the heart!

This truly is divine writing, Dear Hooting One. This must have touched PiP's beloved Dove of White to the very core of her sweet soul. I read it three times for the sheer beauty and love that was expressed through your eloquent words ~ and with each read, I was sending prayers up for Rebecca.

God Bless you both.

Amazing what one prayer can do...

especially in the hands of a talented poet,
giving to another.

Thank you, Ruth.

I know Beckie was asking for all the prayers she could get sent her way, so seeing that is also Sunday I hope you don't mind me sending this up in a prayer for her this day.
