Crossing of the threads

In and out the needle   prick
swings like rope on wooden  stick

listen I can hear through time
not rhyme

that we touch yes fine a weave
like embryo of flower’s sleeve

too close yet feel the air of loss
just one small thread forgotten cross

wing a flutter    pull with me
swift the flight of harmony

and yet
down down the flow    and tide
back forward moon the draw abide

there is small comfort in the sand
each piece of life is like my hand
to separate or be remote in accuracy
I am too close

So breathe the air I leave in wake
no need to sigh      I am your mate
then whip the thread one through the other

see the woman who is also brother

I hate it when you write with this deep a feeling, for it truly does make one ache.  You do take the thread and leave no cross undone, that is a given.

Hiya Martie, boy what a read!  This part especially reminded me of the old needle and thread waving back and forth over the stomach of a lady with child, and it's supposed to tell if it's a boy or a girl...
hearting time?

Your incredible writing is almost like a metaphysical meditation...listening to God's voice

Martie, you're an incredible writer, you leave me speechless and you leave me feeling each line.

Just amazing you are.

Martie -- what a deep poem this is.  It has a sense of timelessness about it, but feels sad, too. ..jo

Alas that this is true....something we think is small can start a misweave that ruins all for us....

....unless the mating is a true match, and the runners can weather a re-start.
