There's a silence in her laughter now
That wasn't there before
She doesn't seem to notice the days passing
Too busy picking her heart up off the floor

There's a difference in his touch
It just doesn't feel the same
And everywhere they look
The pain remains the same

They say there is a time and a place for everything
I would think that doesn't include love?
For love should always be present
As peaceful as the white flying dove

There's a moment to reflect on things
A time for looking back
Don't stare the past too long in the face though
Or count all the things you lack

Instead be grateful for what you have
For in a moment it can be taken away
You'll be left standing there
For others mistakes though we shouldn't have to pay

There's a right for every wrong
A low for every high
It doesn't matter what happens in life
But how you plan to say good-bye

Live today like tomorrow
For we don't know when it's our last day
And wouldn't you live your life differently
If somehow you could just find your way

Make the most of what God gave you
Count your blessings and be glad
For if you look around at others
You'll find a world that is sad

There's a reason that everything happens
A reason perhaps you and I don't understand
Ask for the the things you want kindly
Never should one demand

For life's greatest lessons
Are found upon the pages that we write
So it is your choice...be consumed with the darkness
Or walk out into the sweet morning...light

"When life gives you sorrow, may you experience the spirit of laughter"

Truth and wisdom is spoken here.  Excellent counsel.

So much widsom in this, Amy. I've heard the empty laughter, too... Sometimes things need to be held onto for awhile, other times we just have to let them go with peace, I sure know I need to work on that. Thank you for the wise reminder...
