Ocean edged in canvas of blue
where meets earth, water, and sky;
elements defined
in perfect portrait of peace.

Ever changing tides of aqua
caress tan of sand
slightly revising scenic scenes,
comes gently the lapping
against shore lines horizon
softly playing natures song.

Sung in perfect melody
tonal utterances of
captivating harmony,
mesmerizing me;
such sweet tranquility.

Moons silver sliver
dances on waters break
subtly shimmering light
in serene refrains,

sensations surrounded
by sapphire hues
cradling me in timeless
memories retain.

It's better than I could have planned..
it's made me who I am...

Thanks much Lee.  I'm just dreaming about the shore again, am going for a visit there this weekend and already my muse wants me to be there!  lol.  Thanks much for your visit.

Oooh...Donna can I come with you???
Lovely this...lovely you.
~Smiles & Hugs, Nancy~

Something tugs at me, I've no doubt of that.
Something from the sea, whichever one I'm near.
When I stray too far from beachland, it calls me back

Nancy, I would love for you to be able to join me and my friends for our
short lived, but much needed visit.  The wait is making the week long!
We leave on Friday!

Sey, thanks so much doll.

Martie gal, thanks for the kindness of your heart!  You are a treasure...
Hey, maybe that's a good sign that there are hidden treasures there?
Nah, the oceans treasures are for all to behold yes?  lol.....

I love that verse..the imagery and the allits...most of all the memories it stirs.
I was mezmerized by the ocean at night..it takes on a whole new form beneath the moon.
One night Mark and I were by the VA Beach pier and it was really foggy..the ocean was hauntingly beautiful...
have a wonderful trip...take lots of pics.

"No one has ever shown me how
to see the world the way I see it now ...

and I never saw blue like that before.

Some things are just the way they are ...
and words just cant explain.

Oh no, I never saw blue like that before ..."

You took me to a place that I needed to be this morning. Your paintbrush is ever beautiful somy. And IF I were gone for 15 years I'd know where to find you...under the willow tree.

Love,
Reg

Enjoy your time at the beach with your friends! Have lotsa fun in the sun! ~ and take your muse with you! There should be lots of fodder for the poetic mill!

Happy hugs,
Linda

I think you're someone whose poetry I should read more often....there's grace in this, and well, a gentle spirit....those are things I try for but most often fail....so maybe I'll take lessons from you.
