Looking

A butterfly a mountain peak
There is no place I will not seek
The bottom of the ocean swept
There are no tears I have not wept

I’ve turned my teacup upside down
Sometimes I feel I’m just a clown
There seems to be no path or trail
That does not lead to all but fail

My rational has turned oblique
I cannot find the truth I seek
I’m sure it’s here within my mind
Within the cover of my rind

So I will search the rivers bend
Until the last that would my end
And pass the milestone of my be
Along with times uncertainty

I think that one and one is two
Perhaps I’m wrong, it could be true.

Ahhhhh Seymour .... why is it, that when I read your work, I can't help but smile.

The wonderful flow, the delicate rhyme, the sweet sentiments and ponder ... a beautiful read. That is why.

Best wishes and hugs,
/Kit

When I read you, it's usally around 4 AM my time and I haven't slept...
yet, somehow you always brighten my day, er night, whatever you wanna call it... with your poetry.

Now, one and one being two? Now I'll be thinking about the number theory all day!!
Great poem, sir

Always, ALyssa

Did someone mention "river's bend"

*ww*

People come & go in our lives but the memories & poetry remain...
Of lessons learned, things held in respect, among them is engraved your name.

The unexamined life is not worth living, Socrates tells us.  Your life must be very worthy.  Well written.  KJ

My precious little papillion, you do not have to look far for the answers that you seek. They are deep in your infinite well of knowledge, wisdom, and spirit. For in you dwells the oceans and the rivers of infinity.

Now regarding your math skills, you may need a little assistance in that area so I will lend you my angel stone abacus! That should do the trick!

As for that turned over teacup, I'd like to take a look at the pattern of tea leaves that would have formed. You can add tasseography to my list of angelic talents! lol I'm sure to find a very interesting message there for you from the Fates!

And by the way, my little butterfly, your life's end is far beyond the furthest bend of that proverbeial river!

Now go out there and have a great day and stop thinking so much! No, I'll take that back! ~ Your ponderings, philosophizing, and conjecturing make for superb sonneteering poetry!

as surely as the river flows,
so as well, your poem goes-
investigating curve and stone,
a rill of rhyme to float upon.

I was very caught up in your words. I'm smiling!
