Have you made within your garden a place where you can hide?
A place where only beauty and day’s peace is by your side
Where only joyous thoughts can be, where life can seem its best
A place that calmly calls your time and you can find your rest

Is it hidden out of sight and view, or for the world to see?
Amongst the labors of your love where time had set you free?
Is water there just running and a seat just made for two?
Where birds they come to sing a song and breezes wander through

Have you hidden there a best friend with whom you often speak?
Or left a prayer with God above for dreams that you might seek?
Have you buried there your wishes in the soil that they may grow?
And asked the gnome who watches of the secrets he might know?

Can sunbeams reach you where you are to warm and light your way?
Do branches dance among the breeze and memories come to stay?
And do you share with others who might wonder where you go?
Where do you go to ponder friend? I’d really like to know

Hello Rick

There are many places I like to ponder.....out in my garden, by the sea and within my mind.  Your words brought much peace and comfort.

Take care........Sue

Rick,
This touched me very, very deeply.  Where do I go?  Some nights, I go outside, swing, and look over to where a special flower has been planted. And then, many times I look at the tall trees I planted when I was eighteen, realizing that things go on.  You are so wise and ponder things so completely.  I enjoy reading your work immensely.

Dear Sadelite, your replies are great and very much appreciated each time, always nice to see you and read your thoughts.

Dear Dixie, sounds lovely where you are, we all need somewhere, that is for sure.

To you both my friends, again thank you, may we meet again soon.
