My bed is just a bed, a reminder of the wait till night brings forth a ghost or a shadow or an unconscious need arisen from the depths of deep seated memory. My pillow’s wet with past regrets and the sheet a crumpled mess cannot smooth my many dreams into simple fantasies. But enticed by exhaustion into the ritual of sleep I nestle into and draw up fleeting external warmth prepared as a welcome for the coldness of alone. Soon below a beating heart internal flames rise up and bring relief, release, to the needs of a soul stifled in the ritual of a human experience. To my bed with no ears I speak of many things; how moisture flows, how feelings grow, and how no one knows recurring dreams cannot be catalogued as fantasy. The messages of dreams like the elusive ghost of time are never seen, felt, or heard, but present through lifetimes in those who know that magic lives in the realms of mind! |

I really enjoyed this poem. It is cool how you came up with something to write about a bed.  Cold hands means a warm heart |

I have a magic bed! Don't you just love magic? There is a story behind all things in life and I'll no doubt get to them all given the blessing of time but then I must ask, "Who wants to live forever?"Thanks all for the read. |
