A bun of Brown

She wears her hair a chignon brown
A twist of grace that serves a crown
That plays the sun in flecks of fire
And holds my heart in sheer admire

She walks a common walk you see
But not to me, oh not to me
She smiles a common smile of host
But in my eyes she smiles the most

She seems to grace a common sight
But in her face no common light
She stays my day in revelry
A daydream and a fantasy

She visits me the awe of morn
And stays upon the dew of dawn
Dances in each heart of beat
Turns the churning into sweet

She butters me a bread of last
Within the now and in the past

==============================

and that will be my way cool line of the day.

and ya taught me a new word too...had to go look up "chignon"..as always your grasp of vocab is endless...as is your poetic prowess.

*ww*

People come & go in our lives but the memories & poetry remain...
Of lessons learned, things held in respect, among them is engraved your name.

This is very special Sy!
Loved this morning's treasure.
~Morning hugs~

Something tugs at me, I've no doubt of that.
Something from the sea, whichever one I'm near.
When I stray too far from beachland, it calls me back
