modern day traffic
is full of heavy life
that drags you in
and pulls you out
with breath-gasps
that fly faster than
gravity-driven falls
cascading into
rapid streams

elsewhere,
metronome sounds
of the stethoscope
sing du- -du-duh
while sinusoids
in oscilloscopes
float meaningfully

signs of life

in the green woods,
newborn birds tweet
knowingly and sing songs
for the kind wind
who supports their
sprouting wings

somewhere else,
a pair of five digits
hang down an aimless rock
to sink in floating lather
and a pair of dreamy eyes
seek grand pleasure
from the great expanse
of deep blue above
and deep blue below

somewhere else,
far away in the distance
the two deep blues unite
luscious longing lips
sealed in a forever kiss

This is a rollercoaster, slow fast slow fast slow! I'm going back to ride on it again.

Great lines.  I liked the break from the fast pace to the deep blue expansiveness!   .....jo

Aha, you were walking the streets of Bruxelles then.
Very nice Sudhir, very nice indeed.

My daughter and son in law are going to work in Bruxelles somewhere in October. They'll probably going to live in either Mechelen or Leuven.
By then you and I will meet some day and have a drink at the big market square in Bruxelles my friend, I promise.

Nice photo I must say.

Ooooh, nice, my favorite stanza is the last one, too!  Surely it is where the sky and the sea meet in their forever kiss. Am I right, that is what I see anyway.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.
