About Me

These days that have passed into the night
have not been forgotten in the heart of your husband.
Nor, have the years of innocents been swept away
By these tempestuous tides of chaos
that seem to rise and fall with the moon.

These treasures are forever sheltered
from those despondent masses
that attempt to steal them away
with all of my precious days.

We hold on tightly to loves ideal,
comforted by the weathered years of trial
we have overcome together,
because “we” know what love is.

I have come to recognize through these years past
that I am nothing without the promise
of your unconditional love and everlasting
support of this fragile spirit.

The sweetness of your breath on this humble ear,
and the delicate touch of your hand upon mine
speak to me more than these tribulations of life,
echoing always during these most profound struggles.

My strength arises from such simplicity.
These subtle nuances, I call them blessings.
You, my love are the beginning and the end
of all my thoughts, my dreams, and my aspirations.

In you I find my refuge and my home.
I carry on with my head held high because
it is you who are with me always.

This is a beautiful, sincere outpouring.
A be-lated welcome to poetry land from me...
I have seen your many generous replies and its always a pleasure to see someone who savors the poetry and who puts so much effort into their responses.

I look forward to reading more of your work as time allows.

Well done poet sir.

faith, one finds the love you write of so very well.

Seems there is room for yet another romatic in these blue walls! Nicely done...

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.
