Fine
five thousand feathered strings
stopping on a baton swing
pressed between a brow intense
fine
five thousand fingerings
between the knit of brow
a glimpse
of that
which is gathering
there
  his head
a bonny fife
soldiers of her wanderings
gripping a white knuckled string
  dripping tears of her respite
blending into one design
tendril harpsichord
she sighs
a tear...a fear,

a lathering

gripping a white knuckled chime

"Let the bells of Mary Sing"

rendering

a way of once...

Time--
a finger's pondering
make it pearl
and let her bring
mothering
the frets of life
of that which
that might be held
in the gather
of the pearl--
high
in pitch of life
lilting
in the brass of string
beget
layering
the knit
she sings
looping notes unheard by monk

buzzing on regrets--

she sweats

blending into one design

crying

simple twine of time

curling rivers

down the cheek

salting the mine of her smile...

as she lowers lids and sighs:

"Let the bells of Mary sing."

"Let the bells of Mary sing."

The melancholy came to me
of how a moment
comes to
be...

Happy Birthday, girl...

I agree with the above-- enjoyed.  And I'll put in my Birthday greetings a well -- may each day favor you.

Yanno it wasn't "Happy Birthday to Me" but it had a melodic ring to it, like a fairy dance yanno.  To quote you, "You are lovely!" Now dance in the garbage will ya?  Have a "Day!"

You just don't find, very often, writing of this caliber.  It's delivery and content is well-constructed, flowing, and profound.  I am utterly amazed and without words to describe how impressed I am with this poem.
