When it rains, it pours from the highest clouds
the smallest waves, even the biggest crowds
tug and pull, behavior strings of the mind
attached to the heart, as deep as you find

It rolls, it ripples, not only inward
but tows, so emotionally outward
the brightest days, the greyest of moments
storming within, these tides of our torments

Just below the surface, life is a rage
currently living, just another stage
but deeper yet in the calm of the cold
is the whisper we search in silence told

We ride the crests, the tides of emotions
to explore unknown of our own oceans

"In life's giving ... love is a gift, such worth living."

"These tides of our torments". Great line. Feeling it all too well. Good to see you.

ctowen -- this was an excellent analogy, so very, very well written!  It's poetry like this that is exemplary.
