Moth Wing Dust … [Konrad – Comprehension]

How easy it is, to beat oneself mad,
as wings of moth,
battling a flame,
or any iridescent light, is drawn in,
again, and again,

like I was, to you.

Never being able
to look through your eyes, love,
I could never see
what you saw; and in that failure,
I could not realize your own dreams,

like I was, to you.

I had thought you determined,
through your diggings,
to wend your own way through life,
little knowing you only used that work
to wait on me to find my way,

like I had tried to find my way, to you.

But my own failures sidetracked me;
I realized I had come to a road
that would remove me from you,
and I panicked, for you were love,
you had tried for patience, though
I had failed your tolerance,

and you.

I knew it, when I saw her,
the woman on the ship ~
now realizing, that in her knowing
you were there, waiting,
when

she had turned, and hushed away.

It was then I realized, this was the one
who had beckoned me to return…

even knowing Dana must be out there, somewhere.

                               If she could believe, then
                               why couldn’t I?

I had thought she meant for me to find you;
but what she meant, was for me
to find myself.

I wish you well, my love.   Please know,
I thought I was right for you,
and I admit
my failure.

I had meant this to be a love poem,
but when I saw the moth flailing,
again and again,
against all odds, I realized how clear it was, now,
my failures in being
who you needed me to be.

So, I ask, that you pray for me.

Pray that I will find the tall one again,
for I sense her in every footstep,
in some way,
and in that some, same way,
she determined my path,
and holds what I seek
in her soul.

For when I held her journal,
when her pages seemed to beckon
                                                  curl me to over
and felt like electric waves, it had sparked me then;
and now,
I have to find out
why I’ve gone from chocolate eyes
to green seas.

WOW WOW this is one beautiful poem, beyond words.

Strong, deep and totally overwhelming.

Gosh Karilea....

Pray that I will find the tall one again,
for I sense her in every footstep,
in some way,
and in that some, same way,
she determined my path,
and holds what I seek
in her soul.

for I sense her in every footstep,
in some way,
and in that some, same way,
she determined my path,

This speaks volumes to me, you have no idea.
