i'm lost in a sea of emptyness
that seems to consume me
without seeing the light that i know is there
it has to be there,
it's always there..
so why i can't i feel the warmth it used to hold
i way i used to feel around you.

it felt like my world revolved around you
and now my worlds stopped
i wish you weren't everything that you are to me
i wish i could take it all back
no regrets..

-side note- i'm sorry if things seem to get a bitt depressing for the next little bit,i just tend to write poetry about exactly how i feel at the time, the different stages i go through,so i can remember everything..everything..so please bear with me

Writing is cathartic, it is good to express yourself as you feel and I find that when I feel most intensely of something is when I write best.  So write away, it is all good.

exhale:  don't forget to inhale!  Keep writing through the process, and share it when you can.  You can't really know how long it's going to take so just observe yourself and focus on what you're gaining.  You haven't lost anything, really.  Bless you, K.

Some of the greatest poetry from the greatest minds have been inspired by the greatest tragedies.  Some of the greatest stories, too (Romeo & Juliet, The Bible).  Writing is an excellent way to vent.  I happen to use it as an outlet.  In fact, I don't believe there is a soul here who has not penned dark words in their endeavor to overcome that which does not bode well with us.  And, believe me, you are not alone in your feelings.  So many of us here have walked your current mile and know just how long it can take to walk it.  The light is still there, you simply have to get over the little hill that conceals it.  Yet, it still shines, waiting for you to crest and realize it never left.  I sincerely hope this reply finds you in better spirits.  In the meantime, write it all down, and share it with us.  Remember, so many of us here can be of great support during times such as these.  My apologies for the long reply.

Your poetic friend,

Kevin

Keep them coming.  What ever the spirit, that moves you.
Good one!
