(Yay! (does happy dance) It's sooooooo great to be back! Here's a psychedelic acoustic I wrote to top my first post since the move! ) City of Roses By: Noah Eaton 6/10/04 Through the flowers in her hair, I can see the morning caress the Willamette, waking from windowsill hallucinations, to find myself back in the garden, where the sun is as erubescent as your face, shimmering of rain and quince tea, the breeze but a young merry-andrew, running through the wistoria arbor chasing a dream I'm going to the City of Roses, where we can be free in the garden, I'm going to lie there with my yellow rose, growing our love under the tulip tree We see our shadows dancing, down Hawthorne Boulevard, she moves like a butterfly swimming in ambrosia, cinnamon rainbow smile warming my heart, her phosphorescent tarradiddle, blows a splanchnic nerve, spilling all my pride and instincts, blending the colors of my dreams in one gentle swerve I'm going to the City of Roses, where we can be free in the garden, I'm going to lie there with my yellow rose, growing our love under the tulip tree Through the flowers in her hair, I could see the twilight gleam from the west hills, she pulls a recherche touche, her kiss of a thousand bumblebees has my lungs filled felicity fills my femme fatale's flowery face, let there be rain when she dreams of it, because when the rain beads my sugar maple's hair, I feel her love, I feel her honeybee kiss I'm going to the City of Roses, where we can be free in the garden, I'm going to lie there with my yellow rose, growing our love under the tulip tree Butterfly angel, show me the light in your wings, butterfly angel, you're my queen in the City of Roses Butterfly angel, show me the light in your wings, butterfly angel, you're my queen in the City of Roses "You'll find something that's enough to keep you But if the bright lights don't receive you You should turn yourself around and come back home" MB20 |

Happy days are here again, my friend! You're back! Gadzooks, I've been missing you! I'm happy to hear that you are settled into the City of Roses! You sound so happy, my darlin', pioneering Angel Boy! Gosh, this song has really picked my spirits up! It is so full of joy, love, adventure, enthusiasm, spirit, beautiful imagery and sentiments, emotion, elation, ... lol Yeppers! I'm happy you made it safely to Portland and that you're gifting us with your wonderful poetry again! You are so ding dang special, my friend! Two of my closest friend at Pip ~ you and Marti ~ are both moving this month! She's moving closer to me, but you have moved further away! Oh, well! You both are angels and can wing your way to me in the slip of a halo! Linda |

Noah I hadn't realized you'd moved either but, then I am so often away from Passions that it makes sense why I didn't know. It is wonderful to stop in here and read your poetry and to see you glowing through your beautiful happy poetry. You seem very happy and quite settled in. I hope you enjoy your new home and you have a whole new avenue of space to write about. So you're in Portland then? Such a beautiful area! And the rose parade - amazing! My mom lives in Portland, and I'm not too far away from there... I'm close to Vancouver, WA. It's great to see you back at your poetic home and to see you enjoying your new home Excellent poem! Always, Alyssa PS Make sure you have an umbrella and a rain jacket!
