Holding pillow edges
in evening quiet
feelings of soul yearning

to hear your sweet laughter
while blue eyes are dancing
with light that burns brightly.

Peace does not come easy
in moments of missing,
calmness of night flees me

no escape heart tug sounds
echoing in silence
love reaching out to you

and until you return
I'll be here missing you...

return swiftly my child
my heart will hold you near.

(April, you are so precious to me...)

It's better than I could have planned..
it's made me who I am...

It will be a swift, safe summer...
and she will be home soon enough...

it takes a loving heart
to let go...

you love Big Time, little one.

Thank you Jm and Sunshine.  Sleep did not come easy and the silence stirred my thoughts and emotions....and it just poured out.  Strange, since I haven't written lately....but then I guess that's what good things do, they inspire you.
And she DEFINATELY inspires me.

Oh, and J?  Might we soon see your words grace these blue pages again....they are so sorely missed!

Understand this well, my friend.  Even with my kids both in their 20's, I don't think the feelings you've expressed have much changed. And my grandaughter, (both her and her mom live with us) well, it's back to square one and I know she'll be moving out soon and that's going to tough to face.

Good write...

beautiful write, so moving...the love
you feel for your daughter is very
evident...both you and she are very
lucky!
take care.
