Tonight I shall let my hair fall
Across forehead and shoulder bound
And I shall wear Red
Painted toes exposed
And my feet shall lead wherever they will
Constraints of “should” left behind
Laughter shall ring a little too loud
Just because
And merriment shall dance in my eyes
And my heart will leap in delight
At whatever silly thought it might
And I shall be Me
Carefree and Joyful
Playful and . . . Unspoiled
From worries and woe
For tonight I shall let my hair fall

Susan,
Sounds like a perfect eveing! Nice write.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Susan,
I liked your spirited poem; to let my hair fall--nice imagery!  This is a fun one to be in tune with...You write well!
