Just for fun, a little parody of the old 'Knight and the Maiden' theme...

The Knight and the Maiden

The Knight with lust laden;
Baited was the Maiden,
Upon the balcony stood…
So He asked if she would --

But the Maiden was chaste
And so turned in a haste…
Left Knight on the ladder --
He only got sadder.

Now that’s no knightly pose
— Surely anyone knows —
Perched on a ladder top
Amorous dead-end flop.

What is a Knight to do?
— Kill a dragon or two?
— A romantic dinner?
That should be a winner.

A plan the Knight has found,
Descend to solid ground
For love preservation
Call for reservation.

The aroma wafts away
But Maiden smells foul play --
Can you trust steel-clad dork
Keep away carrier stork?

He takes daring chances,
Amorous advances
The Maiden will not heed;
To his charm will not cede.

Advice to the poor bloke:
Passion-fire you stoke
With words gently crafted,
Hands so slowly drafted.

Shed the heavy metal,
Bring along rose petal.
Next climb the ladder rungs --
And speak in poets’ tongues.

...and speak in poets tongue...

While a parody?
it twisted a certain melancholy
around the rungs
of the ladder...

well done, Sir...

Thank you.

OK, perhaps more of a 'humorous twist of...'
