ever so carefully I watched
as her tried and true medium

justification

turned its back and ran
down center yellow lines

not looking back

she was left front and center
without a vehicle

so she jumped the next train
to Vindication but I didn’t join her

I don’t ride trains anymore
I just stand in front of them

morning is rough going period
and today is already black around the edges
the darkness closing fast

giving anger a reason by assigning fault
doesn’t help much
at 3 am

whose hands were on the wheel
doesn’t matter when the dog is dead
dead is dead and

on top of the dead
that remain with the living
the weight of one more is

too much

inner peace is worth
whatever the sacrifice

This is a great line.  Enjoyed your write. KJ

Through rubble and trouble and dark of night
The yawn of a dawn will hasten the light

How can you write such ugly truths... and do so with such grace and beauty?

Heart hugs to you, my friend... I'm glad Sunshine didn't remove this... for I'd have missed a read I needed. *S* Excellent!!

No way should you ask for this to be removed..
You write of truths with grace and beauty..
Hugging you so very tight!

jbeans, very few people can write such painful truth and still make the reader feel comfortable with the words. I'm glad I had a chance to read this.
