Times acid There is no picture I can paint That will not feel the time of taint And I for one cannot see The need for all this villainy I’d rather fly a butterfly Then heave the sorrow of a sigh I’d rather see this life a pearl Then be the rue of flesh and soil But art is not a worthless past The good you see is in the last The try is in itself the deed The truth lies deep within the seed So paint your picture write your word Take a flight and be a bird Fly your flight and sail your sea Be what ever you would be And I will meat you in the seem Perhaps we two can dream a dream |
