At times there are questions
going around in the head of someone
Questions of what one will do
or of what one may have already done

Then there may be some consequences
that may or may not have to be faced
Will others understand her feelings and actions
she wonders if she will be disgraced

She wonders if life is worth all this
if there is any reason for living
All her life it seems turns out the same
even though she keeps living and giving

The feeling of alone sometimes overwhelms her
as she feels this darkness all around
She wonders where are all of her friends
when she needs them where can they be found

She knows that she will soon overcome
though the questions are there in her mind
For she always has through all her life
when peace of mind she eventually seems to find

For though she has all these questions
going over and all around in her head
She will sooner or later feel joy
as to her own inner peace she is led

Ethel, you so well described the feelings I've had sometimes in the past.  The picture was perfect, and I was glad the end of the poem showed strength.   ...jo

Great picture and universal issues!  So good to read your work again, I've been away too long.  KJ

Dear Ethel, a somehow sad write from you, but it happens to all of us at times and you share your thoughts and insights so very beautifully.

A tender hug for you, generous heart.
I'll be back in July.

Oh, lady... feelings that seem indescribable just needed your pen to paint their portrait. *S* Excellent write!!!

And I love the picture... though it's going to show just how ancient I am, it reminds me of the old Star Trek episode "City on the Edge of Forever"... which, comes to think of it... is appropriate for our mental lost times. *S*

Oh Ethel, you wrote exactly what I am feeling and I had thought to write something,
but this says what I needed to...
so I will let the writing to you until the darkness isn't so overwhelming.  Hugs you....

Yeah life is worth it. Not always sure why, but in the end it is over come... and usually you can smile. Sometimes it's a tear stained sigh, but no matter what, it's worth it.
Hope things are well for you...

Always, Alyssa

That peace can be such a tenuous construction at times that the slightest touch in the wrong place can crash it down....or we may cross to a better place before it collapses us into the ravine. May it always be so for you.
