Realms of Light

Have you ever stood on a cliff top,
  gazing into an endless sea,
And sensed that you could swim across it,
  and into eternity?

Have you ever experienced a moment,
when you knew that you could fly,
And your arms become the wings of an eagle
that can take you beyond blue sky?

Have you ever been rapt in the eyes of a lover,
looking deep into the depths of their soul,
And recognized there lie within them,
the spark that makes you whole?

Have you ever held a baby,
whose love touched your every cell,
Healing your mind, body and spirit
~ a loving that made you well?

Have you ever danced in a meadow,
  of wildflowers and clovered sod,
While rays of golden sunshine,
bathed you in the Light of God?

Have you ever been lost and fearful,
  with no caring soul around,
Then along came someone special
who wrapped you in love surround?

Have you ever stood in a forest,
away from the rest of the world,
Allowing yourself an unwinding,
  like a fern becoming unfurled?

Have you ever inhaled the Springtime,
and awakened to life once more,
All senses becoming enlivened,
with new horizons for you to explore?

Have you ever breathed in a sunrise,
at the break of a brand new day,
Colours so bright you can smell them,
  banishing all lingering gray?

Have you ever made love with your soul mate,
  a coming-together as one,
The sharing of self with another,
'til your days on this Earth be done?

Have you ever been hot and thirsty,
where your throat is parched and dry,
Then offered a refreshing "cold one"
  by a stranger passing by?

Have you ever retired at bedtime,
after a long and productive day,
Knowing you've done your best,
and now you can drift away?

Have you ever felt the ringing of church bells,
  reverberating deep in your chest,
Clearing away bad karma,
  replacing it with God's best?

Have you ever stood on a cliff top,
  gazing into an endless sea,
And sensed that you could swim across it
  and into eternity?

Many of these scenes
have been within my life
But that swim to eternity
Can I postpone a bit?
Nice job!  KJ

lol Sure you can put off swimming into eternity! ~ But it's really not up to me to decide! I'm just a teeny weeny, insignificant heavenly helper! lol

Yes. *S* But I always woke up. *S*

This is so beautiful it gave me chills, dear friend... and a longing that leaves me weeping. *S*
