Forever In Your Heart

Hath not loves' seed
been sown and taken root?

Tis' a seed that was planted,
a tree bearing fruit,

When the blooms blossom,
blowing their fragrance about,

Is not our love the same?
sweetly scented, inside and out?

Like a tree, strong, firmly planted,
roots are nourished by the flowing
river,

So shall be my love,
eternally flowing into
the the roots of your hearts bower,

As the storms of life bear
and bend to and fro,

Our love bends, never breaking,
as the harsh winds blow,

This love has grown,
from seed, becoming,
the tallest tree,

A Redwood, shade of vermilion,
unique, protected, sheltered,
but in the wind, always free,

Is not our love all of this and more?

Two trees planted together,
firmly rooted inside loves'
forest floor,

Standing tall, protecting life,
dancing into the wind,
together,

Watching, changeing,
through the seasons of warm
and cold weather,

Two seeds, two trees,
nourished by loves'
eternal river,

One always sheltering,
protecting the other,

You and I are two trees,
that cannot be moved,
nor shakened,

Eternally rooted together,
entwined, bending, and love,
never breaking....

Open your eyes, open your mind, open your heart, let me come in and show you love.....~ARH

Thank You Jo....it came to me while seeing two trees in a meadow...together....but standing alone in a field...as if they were the only two trees there...reminded me of a couple in love, one tree was taller than the other standing bside the shorter one..

Thanks again!

Nature shows the true reality of love...though they may seem alone..they will always have each other..a brilliant poem..thank you..

Beautifully written, ARH.

For many time, what we cannot see, is the most deeply rooted, solid foundation of all.

beautiful comparison to the redwood

"Eternally rooted together,
entwined, bending, and love,
never breaking....

Two trees planted together,
firmly rooted inside loves'
forest floor"

I took the following from the Caifornia Park System's website:

"These trees have shallow root systems that extend over one hundred feet from the base, intertwining with the roots of other redwoods. This increases their stability during strong winds and floods."

How beautifully apropos!
