Jerry Springer-Maury Povich,
It's Daytime Television!
Judge Joe Brown and old rude Judy,
Making wise decisions.

Soap Operas or "My Stories"
Housewives love the most,
Same stories-different channels,
Watched from coast to coast.

Game Show Network-Family Feud
Newlyweds 'back then'
Those repeats of Millionaire,
"I'd like to phone a friend"

Balladeer likes "Classic Golf"
Memories so fun,
Watching Arnold Palmer
From 1961.

Black and white old reruns,
(And I've heard it said)
Lassie donned a horse suit
And starred as Mr. Ed.

So grab your TV remote
Then try to "Press Your Luck"
No matter what the channel,
Daytime TV sucks!

I was watching judge something or the other while doing my laundry...
ugh, I agree.
There isn't a whole lot on in the evenings, either!

Yea Aenimal...you're right...I usually just watch your channel.."Aenimal Planet"..or Discovery or one of those.....then, when I found out I was too old to be on American Idol, I became the American Idle...my kids wouldn't even vote for me?....My neighbor's cat's seemed to like it though...the dogs too?....

LOL...I said "good book"...not a miniaturized version of Sears/Roebuck which was good for a season, and then good for a reason!

Tee Hee.  Even with satelite and 250 channels to choose from, it's not much better

It must be nice to be a bum
Without a decent job
And spend the mornings lounging
Like an Alabama slob.

Some of us can't watch tv.
We're busy working hard
So folks like you can be on welfare
That's our big reward.

You pick up unemployment checks,
Food stamps for your booze.
Big decisions are what daytime
TV shows to choose.

Such are the Days of Our Lives
The Young and Restless souls
Who watch tv and learn what products
Clean their toilet bowls.

So thanks for all the tips, my friend
On what to watch all day
But I'm too busy busting chops
To make a decent pay!!!

.
.
.
.ps...I know in reality you probably work harder than most of us, you old coot, and that made this more enjoyable to write!

I'm sure Mr. Ed was NO Lassie..pure stud all the way...

Being unemployed (hey! I'm looking!) I've been reduced to surfing the tube during the day. Oh man, what drivel! I end up watching the news and weather channels. Sigh.
