Evening shadow fades with the light
And you shall follow till mornings rise
Unseen places fall through your dreams
Thoughts unknown call to thee

Planted by old with tales of past
Left behind pages never written by hand
Innocence holds passing of time
Sipped from memories of wise

Little feet leave home behind
A voice repeated inside
“One step shall take you astray
One more may lead you away
But both shall send you the right way”

Lee, this was very positive -- a good affirmation for a parent to plant and hold onto!  Enjoyed your lovely poem very much.
