How do they do it?

stand there, composed,
with grace,

thru the seaons,
beaten up,
ravaged, bloodied and bruised,
twisted, empty, aching,

arms reaching for lost youth,

pipedreams of giving birth again,
empty skeltetons, empty wombs

first in line to drink
the rain, the sun, the sky, the stars,

the moon that shatters between,
and fills in the gaps
of their raped branches,

all they endure,
for a little ballet
and dance of seduction
with the wind
on a hot summer night,
to shake their ass again,

what price they pay,

if only i,
could stand

would i dare?

for just one day.....

stand naked,
and feel the rain wash over me,

would i be clean again?

the bleached blonde goddess,

or fear
the exposure
of who I am?

"How do they do it?"

Because they know there is rebirth each spring and what it takes to get there...

and I believe you would stand tall and dare anyone to question you..

Inked One -- You are standing!  Trees are a favorite teacher for me, too.  Enjoyed this very much.   .......jo

I love the message here Michele,  and even more the way you put it together and risked your composure.  Would be nice,  if life was in fact,  a dress rehearsal!

Stick with your role girlie, it's a compliment to you!

Hugs honey~

This was so powerful in it's impact, and yet I see the tree, willow, strong...proud...
not so unlike the author of this excellent write.
Hugs,
