the pale one saw snakes in the road
before it was a road
back when the mountains talked
and the tree people didn't have tattoos

a water moth thrummed her pillows
made ghost face warriors out of songs
dressed them in freckle skins
and took away their walking shoes

at night she floated on still glass
the finger band god was a noisy bush
with no ears to hear her music
she touched the end of dreams

shivers make water wrinkle
and she loved the waves on black stones
like hands shaking bones
bare foot to the neck

she would run her woman there

It's so good to read you again...
Now...you have an exceptionally good
moth wing spirit ghost day...

I had to read that twice to get a grasp on the theme. Very deep.

shiver me, in 3D!
you never fail to delight me
with your unique imagery
you stay in the dark too long
