Picture by Josephine Wall * * * This Sunday will mark the fifth year since the passing of my dearly loved father. It was through the love and respect I had for him which lead me to writing three years ago.I have much to be grateful for. * * * My mind holds many memories In which are special thoughts of you 'tho you are no longer living You're still a part of all I do I recall the happy times You and I spent together Your love was such a gift Something I will always treasure I remember how you smiled Your selflessness and grace All those times I sat with you And looked sadly at your face I have fond memories of your laughter And your kind and thoughtful way How you always found the words When I struggled for something to say The times we'd sit together Without saying a single word As we sat deep in our silence Our hearts were always heard I am lost within my thoughts As I sit here and reminisce My memories still remain But your presence I still miss * * * During the final days of his life, I would sit holding my father's hand as I watched him waste away before my eyes. Those images still haunt me to this day. I am in motion |

SueDearSue~ This is such a lovely remembrance of your father~ 'The times we'd sit together Without saying a single word As we sat deep in our silence Our hearts were always heard I am lost within my thoughts As I sit here and reminisce My memories still remain But your presence I still miss' Let the good memories hold you tenderly, and I just know he was so graciously appreciative that you were there with him~ Hugs to you in this time of gentle remembering~ *Huglets* ~*Marge*~ ~*When the heart grieves over what it has lost, |

A wonderful tribute. In time the pain fades and the good memories show their strength. |

Sue, I felt this deeper than you know. I lost my Mom about ten years ago and it is the most painful loss I've had to date...so trust me I know. Hugs my friend...your father is watching from above and is proud to call you his daughter. Take care, Amy "When life gives you sorrow, may you experience the spirit of laughter" |

Dearest Sue, do not allow yourself to remember your father in his final days....remember him healthy and strong and happy. I only think of my mother and father in this way, and it makes missing them at least a tiny bit easier. Hugs to you dear lady. Touching write. Chris Life itself is the most wonderful fairy tale. |
