I can feel his pain, happiness, his sorrow
to me this love is so dear
just to see him hurt like this brings every bitter tear.
The blood on my hand from his wound so deep
the scar on his heart will not heal
the feeling of love stays within him
till the very day we fall asleep
I think of you.....all the time
from now untill the end
but the pain I feel inside my heart
will not and could never mend.
I see you right near me....your name I tryed to call
your here by my side
you seem so close but oh so far
then you vanished....you were never here at all.
He came to me in my sleep
my tears I tryed to hide
he told me, "I need you"
I awoke to find him....
by my side..........

I really enjoyed this, very touching, a slight bit confusing at the end but I got the impression that it was suppose to be. I can relate in part to this piece so it struck a personall chord in me as well, nicely done.

I think I read this differently than most of the comments to it I read. I read it like there was someone you loved out of the picture you were still wanting and that wanting hurt the one you were with but loved you all the same -- it made sense to me that way -- good write -- the feelings are felt.

Ah heck and and I read this like it was a beloved pet - go figure. That is the beauty of poetry - its up to the reader to take from it what they will. Very nicely done.
