I catch myself
remembering, your dreams,
whilst images from childhood
nightmares hold sway
as the entertainment.

Perhaps for a moment
you could pretend
you still love me.

Anything is possible.

I promise you
I’ll understand,
as quietly as possible.

Taste my pain and
you will become me.
Pain is only another
name for pleasure.

Yet handwritten excuses
for everything, come between us.
Therefore let me give you
the comfort of my death
without knowing it.
We will never be the same,
now there is no reason to stay.

Such a sad, sad write.  Some amazing lines in it.

I see through the mist of words
a painful regret of what isn't yet to be...

(inspiration may result)

Nice to read your words, Frank

ilana - thank you for the read.

passing shadows - also hope for with acceptance one is able to move on.

nakdthoughts - "M", thank you, I don't think I've ever managed to inspire anyone.
