where the wild flowers grow

0 posted 2004-05-25 02:09 AM

Cracks in the window,
let the wind mumble a familiar melody.
When I sleep I recall the smells,
and the tastes of memory.
When I wake, I am consumed by my inferiority.

I stare deep into puddles,
trying to comfort my reflection..
It needs what I need, only backwards,
it cannot hold me through this.

Why must I
lose all faith in you,
or misconceive your body..
Tremble and collect your tears,
save you from the night.
From the crashing moon,
the deceptive sky.

Wind, whisper to me lies,
let my fears subside.

I will not pass on these haunting
hands,
they have touched too much of
the dark..been through too many trials,

If I were to mention
calmness of the sea..
Seek redemption in the shadows
of poisoned wells..

Holding on to lonely photographs...

I would have to admit my
deeply yearning heart has broken
without any help from you..

This
is something I've grown used to..
It is just the morning glories
melting down the vines..

Excellent, Meghan...
what ARE we going to do
when your hands are full
of child, and your mind
too full of love?

'Holding on to lonely photographs...'

Now theres a poignant statement to conjure a sad picture.

Enjoyed the words.

This hits home for me,  trying to be all things to all people....
and losing a part of myself in the interim.

Painfully poignant, Kaoru~
