He is beautiful - - if only when he thinks himself unseen but I see when he presses his palms and prays for the whispers of trees to call from exposed roots: names he once knew am I one he dances into nights dream? soft touch of flesh even if . His hands have learned their skill with ache & frustration images that shape sorrow in ash & dust The chant inside him - - slow unfolding the 'rock' that sits and takes in hues of earth relations.
