A sparrow falls, and no one knows
Except those held within His hand
The demon calls and no one shows
Except those sent by his command

The darkness reigns and no one cares
Except those called to do His will
Then buoyed upon the wind by prayers
The victim learns to breathe, be still

The thunder roars and no one hears
Except those captured in His thrall
And no one comes to dry those tears
Except the one who gave His all

The groom returns and no one knows
Except for those who watch and wait
The world still turns in ebbs and flows
But now is left to its own fate

The seasons change to bring new life
And no one sees except His flock
But they have left this world of strife
And louder grows the ticking clock

I like the edit on this one Keth.  It makes it more effective.  Excellent, and ominous, and gives me almost a sense of panic.

Beloved one Oh my when you write you really write, and this is outstanding, the phrasing, the form and the content are all excellent. What seems to make it even better is the feeling it evokes, only a poet of your quality can direct the reader this way. As I said beloved one it is exquisite writing and I love it utterly, utterly, utterly.

Love you always

I see a succession of films dealing with the theme of life or lack thereof after major disasters, atomic explosions, alien invasions or tidal wave wash out...it points to an obsession on out mortality.. that somehow we know we are dancing with the devil before he's had enough....and in the real world?Good write!
