I can no longer be your anchor
For in doing so, I am sinking down
I can no longer be the one you run to
The one who turns your smiles from a frown

I've given my all, everything that I am
You've had all of me, the bad and the good
I've given you every inch of my soul
Held on much longer than I should

I know the sadness you feel
I see it in your eyes
However I also know the pain I'll eventually feel
When the time comes and you say good-bye

A person can't make another happy
True happiness comes from inside
I thought that I could help and love you though
Maybe from my own problems I was trying to hide

Knowing these things though
Doesn't make the pain dissapear
If you look closely, you can see the trickle of my tears
My heart is torn between what I feel and what is right
There are times when the day blends straight into the night

If I could shoulder your burdens, I would and never would complain
But if you look at the pillow on which I rest, you would see it's tear stained
We live each day as best we can, I try to be your friend and more
I only want you to be happy, to find your wings and soar

What does one do though, when they've given their all?
Like a rock that is too heavy, I feel myself beginning to sink
I do love you, that has never been a question for me
So here I am lost, I sit here deep in my own thoughts, and just THINK

"When life gives you sorrow, may you experience the spirit of laughter"

Amy darling ‘Lil sis, Oh my how I feel the pain in this one, YOUR writing is always good, and pure, it reflects your soul just as a mirror does the image. I can see, and almost hear the sorrow of your heart in this reflection of you. Take care darling one, remember to your own self be true, and I’m sorry I’ve not been around either, life has been sweeping me away. But if you want me send a note and I’ll make time for you darling heart, always

Exquisite writing darling heart sister absolutely exquisite
Love you always
and forever
Mushy

Tomorrow is another day I don't know what it holds
but I can face the future with courage brave and bold

Marsha,

I'm alright, just going through a difficult time in my relationship...but I'll figure things out...just writing has always been a source of release for me. Glad to hear from you. Hope you are well. I'll write you soon. Thanks for responding
Love you lots too

Bitter sweet and sad, but the talented writing still comes through.  Hope it all works out for the best.

you know in your heart what to do...you won't be lost for long

I understand the sinking-under feeling, it's not very easy to handle after so long

Amy,

Only you know what is right for you.  I hope things work out for you.  I honestly do.
