I foresee
a problem here
"Indicative"
of me
I'm told...
my progressions
made too quick
I never learned to drive a stick
graceful in the jagged "H"
hugging all these curves of road
as all the little pretties flash
before the tires bump that code
of danger
just beneath the wheels
bump bump bump
the thrill of real
congealing test of razored edge
hasty pressed
the power brake
and the slip
of grip in space
begging
one soft shoulder cry
pray
two wheels will be enough
and shrug the readiness to die--

laughter and the radio

shattering the dream.

I never learned to drive a stick
===============================

thats ok....cuz you sure learned how to rhyme.

No one holds the road and takes the hairpin curves like you do.

I don't know Karen...
you seem to hug that center line very well.
Excellent write.

LOL, this one woke me up, remembering a not-so-soft-shoulder-skid, circular spinning then exiting the highway backwards on black ice heading for a ditch of unknown depths.
I am wide awake again.

smile and blush...

I don't even know how to drive at all (another phobia)

funny tho, I still manage to grind my gears, and nodding, even walking, I can't seem to slow down the pace of things.

Thanks for reading, kind poets.

Okay, you..
are amazing.

Ok, that's my next job...
getting you to not only drive
a stick, but anything else we can find...

because darlin' girl, the minute
you feel that control...

your verse will find another dimension...

and then there's more for us to enjoy!

Ok I was trying to quote my favourite lines but found myself quoting the whole.

You always leave me speechless Gorgeousness.

Your words create a most vivid picture and I can find myself behind the wheel.  Much fun.
