The Next Step
  -To Kieran, for graduation.

Into the unknown the journey begins
Blackness on all sides, confusion-
Which way does the wind blow,
I’ll follow it.  I am, I am, I am
That child lost without his mothers
Hand to guide him through the dark
Night.  Remember all the nights
We lost our way only to be found
By the sun as it peeked across the
Horizon.  Remember that one night
Where you found me.  Bleeding on
The bathroom floor, wanting to be
Lost forever.  But you found me.
You made sure I would never be
Lost again.  And so we close this chapter-
And I can’t help but think our story ends here.

And I can’t help it, but I know, our story ends here.

"So what befalls the flawless?
Look what I've built, it shines so beautifully now watch as it destroys me."

This is sad,
but content, too.
Knowing that you were there for eachother when you needed to be...
and now you can both move on.
I just hope that moving on isn't as hard as I know it can be.
Excellent expression of this.
I wish you and your friend well!

Always, Alyssa

This was just so nicely flowing.. I loved the line breaks.

The emotion was there.  Molodious.  I really liked this.
