Presents

We are weaving together
the last of the silken threads
to bind our emotions to the end of time.

They lap the memories of youth,
with the learning of a too shortened lifetime,
that will be edged and reinforced
by hand fringed words, framed everlasting.

We breathe each other's thoughts, sighing,
sometimes the only sound heard.
For we have spoken all that needs to be said
and can sit quietly now, in the presence of each other.

There are times when no words need be spoken..
Just sitting together...knowing what the other is thinking...is enough.

thank you for your responses...I can see the end is near

I am not sure whether it is comforting or not, but the closer it comes the easier it is to make the best use of time.

Almost a painful peace to this...
The kind that says
"I wish there was more, but I don't need anything else."
Does that make sense?
Probably not...
Anyway, I like this alot.
Hope things are well for you

Always, Alyssa
