I passed the date of seven/five
That day I wrote a poem for you
"Nothing special" you could say
"There are some days I write a few"

You're right, but still that day is special
Because I wrote a different tongue
I wondered if I could accomplish
A poem in English, not too long

I roamed the poems that I had written
Wrote in my native language I mean
I picked the one about blind Kyra
This was the first of me you've seen
/main/forumdisplay.cgi?action=displayarchive&number=47&topic=002875

It was the year two thousand and one
A year that's written in my mind
Because that day I found the love
Of people strange, but awfully kind

Since then three years have passed away
And though my grammar lacked sometimes
You've always made me feel 'belonging'
To this circle full of rhymes

We've shared some laughs and also sorrow
We've shared the loss of friends to heart
We've shared our thoughts and heartfelt pain
We've shared our love and wits so smart

Then I thought: I ought to tell them
That I've learned a lot from you
One even helped me with my grammar
Showed me the ropes when using 'do'

So now I do know when to use 'do'
Or when it's not appropiate
Thank you 'Deer for all your effort
You've showed yourself as a true mate

I could go on in naming names
But then I'll need so much more time
Let's just say I thank you all friends
For supporting my English rhyme

And when, some day, you do remember
That Dutchie (me), when I'm no more
Then know that I will smile from Heaven
To all you people, whom I adore

Like scattered leaves...my words will flow

OhSweetFriend~
It has been a beautiful three years, hasn't it ?

I remember so well the first poem you posted, and how as time passed we came to know and love all your animals through your poetry~

The BESTEST thing that ever happened was when you came HERE for our New Poet Richey meeting in September 2002 !!!
Oh my, what footprints you left all over this countryside~

I LOVE YOU !!!!

Okay ... I'm getting all mushy here now ...
so I'll just close with *HUGLETS*

May the ageless cloak
of the collective human soul
wrap you in its folds
to keep you safe and warm.

Ah, Titia, I remember well when you first joined us. You fractured the English language pretty well (imagine what I would do to YOUR language!) but there was and honesty and sincerity in your writing that made it a pleasure to read. When we finally all met, you turned out to be exactly like your poetry - warm, sincere and honest. Your writing has progressed so much over these past years and your flavor is unique and refreshing. Passions would be a poorer place without you - and so would I. May God bless the day you found and joined us.

Write on!!

Marge, my darling friend, you know I love you and my greatest wish is too step in those footprints again some day and hug you to pieces.

Maureen, it was such a pleasure to've met you, you have a strong surviver's mind of your own you know. I still have the dreamcatcher, you made for me, hanging in my bedroom.

Icebox, you've penned such sweet words, thanks.

Nancy, we almost met two years ago, I'm sure we will some day, hugs to you too.

Pictureme, we recited our poems when we had the PIP Poets meeting in New Port Richie, two years ago. It was great fun.

Balladeer, LOL fractured the English language? You're putting it quite mildly my friend. Thanks for being there for me and showing me the ropes. I know I'm not perfect, but then...who wants to be perfect! Meeting you was quite an experience and you too turned out to be exactly as I had imagined you would be. You provided us with some good laughs.

Muted, thank you.

MGROVES, thank you too

Iliana, stick around for a while and you will notice that PIP is a pleasant drug to get addicted to.

I love you all

Titia
