I feel it,
not sure whether
they are tears of sadness,
sweat or droplets of rain
landing on my cheeks on this cloudy day.

I work those weeds, each tug
a pull on my heart, each dig a stab
to my soul, the smell of earth strong
reminding me that tomorrow will be more of the same.

What difference does a day make?
Why do I let it change the mood I am in?
Unanswering myself, I am decidedly mute,
softening my thoughts until only the tears are left to mind.

Sigh, Maureen!
Some really great imagery here, but sooooo sad!
Tomorrow will be better, tears dry NOW.

Very sad… but an enjoyable read.
