Twilight
Gently pulls off my sandals
We play tag, barefoot
Funding research

Firelight safflowers directing us into the cosmos
Doubtless, I am a servant girl…by choice
Of conservative twilight flirtations
With Gods I’ve never known before
Where plains remember graveled roads
That were there and are still

Hindu myths grow green tea with lemon grass
Chasing stars and standing on their shoulders
Middle age dialogue with upper class accents
Recite magnetic poetry
Gold bullions project a sea of perfume
Indicating a bird of paradise
Forcing it’s way into my room
There is a solar warm breeze pressing
It’s nose up against my window
Imposing forms of space and time
Rescuer of souls, palm of light

I open the screen, there is a royal flush of touching
Minds parking at a one stop shopping center
Collecting retirement benefits believed to be
South bay, is no stranger to global news
Dream weavers must not only dream
But be doers, to suceed
