Greenbelt, 3 A.M.

blue shadows sooth this concrete path,
blend its hardness to a pastel dark meander
down through the moonlit grass

he comes here in the darkness time
when the street won’t spit him out
and no house welcomes

this curving path expects him now,
still warm somehow from the day
as he rolls along it

he swings a little, side to side,
a private dance to music no one hears,
music born inside, a future memory

like the call of shadows and grass,
like a still, moon-softened walkway,
like a home found, within

When I read poetry like this,
coming from a man,
I realize
how close to woman he really is...
in all of the important ways.

Good morning, Sunshine!

Yes, and that's something I've learned only in the last year and a half....since PIP and all that's gone with it.

this brings to mind, the spirtual oneness we all share, and give such happiness to read that others dare express and are not afraid to know...which means you have strong willed convictions...

Brilliant and awesome...love your wrights.

Then I would say, Sir...do not let anyone take your passion for writing creations such as this, away from you.  I sense a rebirth, and a renewal.

And I look forward to more gems from your pen, and mind.

It just doesn't get better than this. *S* The images are striking and superb... the personification is perfect... the way you move from streets spitting him out to curving path's expectation is no less than brilliant. *S*

he swings a little, side to side,
a private dance to music no one hears,
music born inside, a future memory

like the call of shadows and grass,
like a still, moon-softened walkway,
like a home found, within

But it's when you move to the personal that this becomes one of my very favorites, to be tucked into my library for future memories... for you could as easily be describing a poet and his poetry... I love the last line! *S*

ya had me from the first verse....
superb write of imagery and expression.
I need a path like this...one that leads me to the ocean.
very well done as always poet sir...
good to have you back in the blue.

I love you more the further I go ...
before this existence ... you were always here inside of me.
